This is a travel video which will give you a glimpse of the majestic Mughal architecture, it’s culture and the cityscape of Old Delhi. This short film portrays all those small moments I experienced in the aesthetically beautiful mosque situated in the heart of old Delhi.
I was amazed to see the symmetrical arches, well structured red sandstone wall, the engraved Arabic script, towering minarets and domes. What caught my attention were those minarets in the mosque. Interestingly, tourists are allowed to climb only the southern Minaret. All you have to do is to buy a ticket worth 30 rupees. And, I decided to go some extra mile to experience this .So I bought my ticket and started climbing the stairs. This minaret has 130 stairs. It was one of its kind experiences. The narrow path and stiff stairs can lead you to the top of the southern minaret. To reach the top of the minaret was like a task. But once I reached the top of the minaret, the bird’s eye view of the Old Delhi just mesmerized me. It was an incredible sight well framed in my mind
Well, while exploring this magnificent architectural marvel, I decided to capture each one of those rare moment into my lens and make a Travel Film. And, that’s how I have ended up making “A Day at Jama Mosque”
