WHY SARISKA MANOR IS THE PERFECT ACCOMMODATION IN SARISKA TIGER RESERVE IN RAJASTHAN

Unlike some of the other popular National Parks in Madhya Pradesh, the Sariska Tiger Reserve hardly comes first into consideration while deciding on a trip to a National Park in India. It took me by surprise when I visited this national park in Rajasthan earlier this year.

The lush green forest, rugged mountains, and eye-pleasing landscape around made me question myself as to why I had taken so many years to explore this exciting wildlife park in my backyard.

It was dawn when we set out on a jeep to go on a wildlife safari in the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The excitement was soaring high as we crossed the gate of the buffer zone. Due to excessive rains this year, the jungle was looking as resplendent as one looks after a fresh shower.

The shades of greens were quite enticing. The uncountable Peacocks on our way just added to the right number of colors in the green surroundings. I was told that the Sariska National Park flaunts the highest number of peacocks in India. No wonder one loses count of this beautiful bird in the park.

Though I couldn’t encounter any Tigers or Leopards in the park unlike my exceptional safari experience in Pench National Park, the whole experience of the jungle safari was overwhelming. I was thrilled to spot a few birds and game animals like a Jungle cat, Langur, Spotted deer, Wild boar, Civet, and more.

Moreover, I was visiting a national park after long two years. More than seeing big cats in the wild, the feeling of being in the wild is fascinating for me. Likewise, unpredictability and surprise elements are always lurking in the wild.

DOES WILDLIFE SAFARI LODGE MATTER?

The Wildlife Safari lodge matters when it comes to national parks anywhere. The lodge or any wildlife accommodation contributes immensely to wildlife conversations, educating people about jungle etiquettes and also local employments.

Moreover, the location of any wildlife lodge is of utmost importance. It makes a huge difference to your wildlife experience. The Sariska Manor located at the Telha gate of Sariska Tiger Reserve is one of the most preferred accommodations.

Even though the luxury resort is located adjoining to the wall of Sariska Tiger Reserve, the best part of Sariska Manor is that it has gone an extra mile to preserve the ecosystem.

The private balcony in each cottage allows you to indulge in the over-abundant lap of nature.

The peaceful aura of this luxury boutique resort is very blissful. The silence around, the woody fragrance of the forest, well-spread cottages around the courtyard let you breathe in peace. The star-studded sky at night, the bonfire at the patio, the lip-smacking food just add the right amount of thrill and are enough to spend a couple of nights quietly in Sariska Manor.

CURATED EXPERIENCES

The Sariska Manor curates some of the best signature experiences for its guests. If you are staying at this luxury safari lodge, don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in the curated experiences. They have a wide variety of experiences for all kinds of travelers.

Whether you are a solo traveler, a wildlife enthusiast, a curious cultural explorer, or just a tourist, there are various signature experiences to fulfill your wanderlust.

HIGH-TEA IN AN EXCLUSIVE ROCKY TERRAIN

This was quite an overwhelming experience on the very first day. A few kilometers drive from the resort, we stopped on the road, just to hike a bit upon the rocky terrain. After a short hike through the large boulders, we finally reached the flat surface upon the rock where the high-tea was arranged by the team Sariska Manor.

The best part of the experience was the exclusivity of the location. The rocky terrain overlooking the gorgeous Aravalli mountains, dense forest, and blue sky to compliment the aura was more than enough to transport anyone to an exotic location. The giant bounders and the thickly forested area around make it quite a picture-perfect location.

The best part of the location is that it is yet unexplored. It makes it quite inaccessible for common people. The experience of having your evening tea in such a location with an enticing view to compliment it makes it one of the best signature experiences the Sariska Manor offers to its guests. The High-Tea on the rock is an absolute must-have experience at the resort.

EXPLORING RUINS AROUND NEELKANTH MAHADEV

I would highly recommend visiting the Neelkanth Mahadev temple complex if you are a history and architecture lover. The ruins of this historical complex will fascinate anyone who is an archeological enthusiast. Located hardly 25-30 km away from the Sariska National Park in Tehla village of Alwar, the Neelkanth Mahadev temple complex dates back to the 7th-10th century CE.

The ruins of the temple complex make you wonder about its worth of being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s not just the temple complex, but the ruins around the complex which are even more fascinating.

The early medieval site of the Neelkanth temple comprises one surviving temple (dedicated to Shiva and partly reconstructed by the ASI). It is said that there are around 200 odd temples scattered ruins in that area.

Negotiating the narrow pathways in the village, one can reach another ruined complex in the middle of the village. The giant statue of Jain Temple in the premises of the temple complex is one of the eye-arresting things there.

The lush green surroundings, the scattered houses, wheat fields, and the huge statue of the 23rd Tirthankar (Jain saint) make this complex looks quite inviting. From the complex, one can also see the ruined walls of the Rajorgarh Fort, located on the hillock.

VISIT BHANGARH FORT

One can also visit the famous haunted site, Bhangarh Fort in Rajasthan. Famed as one of the most haunted places in India, the ruins of the fort surely give you an eerie feeling once you enter the complex.  The tale of the curse that doomed a once flourishing town gives you goosebumps.

Whether it is the banyan tree at the entrance, the temple complex or the ruins of the fort, the feeling of being in a haunted place is quite rampant once you are in the complex. The moment I climbed the stairs of the fort and saw the surrounding, I could just imagine what would have happened when the thriving town was abandoned. The shouting uneasiness was evident on our faces while exploring the ruins.

The Abandoned Bhangargh Town

Ruins at Bhangarh Fort in Rajasthan

A day trip to Bhangarh fort is a must if you are enthusiast enough to explore haunted places. Though the fort is frequented by people during the daytime. So, one need not feel frightened there. But no one is allowed to stay back after sunset.

The visit to Bhangarh fort is not free. You need to buy tickets to enter the complex. The strange fact is that foreigners are not allowed to visit Bhangarh fort just like any other tourist. They need to obtain special permission to enter the haunted fort complex.
