WHY VISIT FAGU IN HIMACHAL PRADESH?
Fagu can sway you by surprise. Often overlooked by the tourists, this little hamlet is a charming place where you will be hooked without your knowledge. The enchanting beauty of the place, the simplicity of the Pahadi people, and the warm hospitality make you appreciate this tiny place more than any other popular destination. The captivating Fagu gets into you slowly when you start appreciating its raw and rustic beauty quietly.
However, I can give enough reasons to visit Fagu in Himachal Pradesh. I have mentioned below three major reasons why you should put Fagu on your bucket list.
The exquisite location of Fagu is the major reason why everyone should visit this secret paradise in Himachal Pradesh. Quiet, delightful, and blissful are the words to describe the serenity of the place. In addition, the layers of hills beyond the horizon, dense Cedar forest, apple orchards all around, and the Kathkhuni styled architecture in the slopes are very inviting. Particularly, the peaceful aura of the place adds to the charming destination.
If you are someone who prefers to just laze around and is not in a hurry to tick off places from your list, Fagu is the perfect place to spend a few nights. Fagu is also an ideal location for creative souls. Due to its exclusive location, it offers calmness beautifully.
Whether you are a voracious reader who just loves to read books in the hills with a hot cup of tea or coffee or someone who loves to pen down your thoughts, etc., Fagu lets you dive deep into your comfort zone. After all, it allows you to celebrate your space.
PERFECT WEEKEND GETAWAY
Looking for quick weekend getaways and still considering places around your city? No more looking elsewhere. Fagu in Himachal Pradesh is an excellent weekend getaway for travelers looking for a remote hideaway.
Additionally, an easily accessible and hassle-free travel experience makes Fagu one of the preferred destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, Fagu is also a great location for night halt for discerning tourists traveling onwards.
What makes this destination amazing is the fact that it is just outside Shimla. Also, it is a budget-friendly destination. Whether you are a budget traveler, solo traveler, trekker, or family, Fagu can accommodate everyone. There are a lot of homestays scattered in different villages which are pocket-friendly.
ENJOY SLOW LIFE
Most importantly, Fagu lets you relish slow life. If you are someone who celebrates stillness, calmness, and serenity at the same time, Fagu is the place to be in. As the sun leaves the valley, the shimmering lights in the valley overshadow the darkness. It looks as if the star-studded sky has fallen on earth.
When the sun is behind those layers, the cold breeze traveling through your body and the chirping of birds add a rhythm to the air, all you feel like doing is to admire those rolling hills.
Don’t miss taking a slow walk in the village to get a feel of the local way of life. Walking aimlessly on those narrow pathways without any destination on my mind was one of the most blissful moments I lived in Fagu.
PLACES TO SEE AROUND FAGU
The best part of staying in Fagu is that it gives you a wide range of places to explore which are located within a short distance. Moreover, one can explore places like Kufri (3 km), Narkanda (45 km), Chail (38 km), Mashobra & Naldehra (25 km), etc. within a few kilometers radius. Lastly, you can also visit Tattapani which is hardly 55 km from Fagu.
