Some invitations are so overwhelming that you just can’t ignore them at any cost. The invitation to be a part of the “World Burger Tour 2016” was one such invite from Hard Rock Café. I have been a big fan of Hard Rock Café and its culture. It’s chic, classy, and jazzy look and the array of world cuisines make Hard Rock Café a desirable place to hang around.
The music scene is another reason why you should be at this café. Hard Rock is also known for its collectible fashion and music-related merchandise and Hard Rock Live performances. This café is also known for its enticing and mouth-watering world cuisines. When it comes to Burgers, Hard Rock Café has just topped the charts for its variety.
I truly believe that food is one of the defining factors to identify a particular culture. That’s where the market comes handy when you are in a new city or country. The markets of any place can give you a glimpse of the lifestyle and culture of that particular place and their people. Being a traveller, exploring new places and sampling the food has become an addiction. And if you get the rare opportunity to sample a few local Legendary™ burgers from all over the world, you simply can’t wait to treat yourself!
Hard Rock Café India is celebrating “World Burger Tour 2016” with an amazing menu consisting Legendary™ burgers from all over the world. Lebanese Veg Burger, Istanbul Kafta Chicken Burger, Italian Chicken Burger, Indian Tandoori Chicken Burger, and Miami Cuban are the most celebrated ones across countries. To compliment these legendary burgers, a wide range of cocktails like El Matador, Citrus Summer Shandy, Melonpalooza, Crisp Sipper, and Watermelon Hoedown are served to satisfy you gastronomically.
Well, the evening was more than sampling some of these celebrated Burgers. Apparently, we were asked to participate in a crazy Burgerthon-an inter-cafe pan India burger challenge. Interestingly, we had to finish the entire burger in the least possible time and whoever could do that, would be declared the winner. It was super fun to compete with a bunch of foodies. The size of the burger was so big that I could not even finish half of it. The spirits of the participants were remarkable in Burgerthon where everyone gobbled the burger and tried hard to finish it as quickly as possible. The atmosphere was rather thrilling.
After that crazy fun activity, we were served the most celebrated legendary burgers. Here is what I sampled at World Burger Tour 2016…
MEDITERRANEAN VEG BURGER
Mediterranean vegetables & spices infused grilled burger, laced with spicy mango aioli, cheddar cheese & fresh spinach slaw.
LEBANESE VEG BURGER
Falafel veg burger infused with Lebanese spice, lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli, hummus sauce, veg pickle& Cheddar cheese.
CARIBBEAN VEG BURGER
Smooth & spicy fusion of vegetables & brown lentil Caribbean spiced grilled burger, topped with Cheddar cheese, quinoa relish & sunflower seeds.
MEXICAN QUESEDILLA VEG BURGER
Smooth fusion burger of polenta, spices, sweet corn, beans & vegetables flavoured with tangy enchilada salsa, Swiss cheese, avocado & nacho straws.
ISTANBUL KAFTA CHICKEN BURGER
Shawarma spice infused chicken burger with lettuce, tomato, garlic hummus aioli, kafta spiced onion, mushroom, peppers & creamy feta crumble.
ITALIAN CHICKEN BURGER
Fresh herbs infused chicken burger patty, Italian relish, golden panko crusted Cheddar cheese & spicy tangy sundried tomato aioli.
INDIAN TANDOORI CHICKEN BURGER
Succulent & tandoor spiced chicken burger, lettuce, tomato, topped with melted Cheddar cheese, cucumber plank & mint mayo.
MIAMI CUBAN BEEF BURGER
Cuban spice infused beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese & crispy spiced onions.
To spice it up a little bit, crispy chilli crusted fries were served with your choice of garlic aioli or chimichuri mayo or sweet chilli dip. I must admit that the chef had done a wonderful job with the flavours of these burgers from different continents. A mix bag of herbs, spices and different ingredients made these legendary local burgers delicious to have a quick bite with a variety of cocktails to complement with. The size of the burger was quite big for a foodie like me. It would have been better to taste only sliders of each one of the burgers as that way you would not have been wasting food. Apart from that, I really enjoyed the performance by the awesome staff members who were shaking their legs in the most epic way. I could not stop myself from dancing with them.
